WHAT IS A HEPA H13 FILTER?
High Efficiency Particulate Air filters (HEPA), are included in Vortex Dust Extractor Models V12-2, V24-2, V36-2 and 76-2. These models have a two stage filtration system including a main CONICAL and HEPA 13 filter. The HEPA 13 filter meets the strict standard (EN1822:2209) level of H13. The H13 is designed to separate up to 0.30 μm dust particles with an efficiency > 99.97%. Securing a high standard of quality and safety. In addition, each filter in the Vortex 2 series dust extractor range is individually tested and certified before delivery, to ensure that every filter meets and fulfils the HEPA H13 standard.
WHAT IS A H-CLASS DUST EXTRACTOR?
The international standard for testing wet and dry extractors, dust extractors (IEC-60335-2-69, EN-60335-2-69), is classified into three categories – L for low, M for medium and H for high – where the H category is the most stringent. This is a standard which “deals with the safety of electrical motor-operated vacuum cleaners, including back-pack vacuum cleaners, and dust extractors, for wet suction, dry suction, or wet and dry suction, intended for commercial indoor or outdoor use with or without attachments.” The CE covers the standard.
